24C04 4k Serial EEPROM IC  provides 4096 bits of serial electrically erasable and programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) organized as 512 words of 8 bits each. The Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-only Memory (EEPROM) IC is a two-wire, 8-Pin device that operates at a voltage range of 1.7 to 3.6V, making it highly suitable for 3.3V systems. It also supports cascading with up to 8 similar ICs for expansion purposes. It works with Serial-Two wire,I2C protocol and hence very easy to interface with most of the MCU and Development boards and requires only two wires to interface. So this EEPROM is very suitable for applications where low-power and low-voltage operations are essential. Max. supply current for this IC is 1mA.
