10K 3296 W103 Multiturn Potentiometer or trimmer is simply a device containing a resistive element, and a wiper, or adjustable tap, contacting the element. The wiper can be mechanically moved to vary the amount of voltage or resistance in the circuit. The Resistive Element Trimmers for commercial applications typically have a resistive element made of carbon or cermet (a combination of Ceramic and Metals), or of resistance wire wound on an insulated copper mandrel. The 10K 3296 W103 Multiturn Potentiometer Variable resistors are used for variating voltage as per the need in a circuit. The outer two pins are connected to Vcc and 0V, and center pin outputs a variable voltage between 0v and Vcc as the rotary cermet is rotated. Multiturn potentiometers are used in application where accuracy and precision is important.
